A femtosecond time-resolved fluorescence spectrometer has been constructed using the up-conversion system performed with a Ti:Sapphire laser. The angle of a BBO crystal, the compensation for time-zero dispersion, and the direction of laser polarization were automatically controlled by a computer. Representative data were obtained on coumarin 153 in acetone. This system will be applied to measurements of ultrafast relaxation processes in the time region from several tens of femtoseconds to several tens of picoseconds.
