The Tohoku Branch of the Spectroscopical Society of Japan was established on September 29th in 1974. Currently, about 60 members in the Tohoku area belong to our branch. The specialties of the members cover wide spectroscopic areas related to physics, chemistry, biology, astronomy, and medical sciences.
 The activities of the Tohoku Branch include supports for lectures, symposia, and discussion meetings planned by branch members as announced in our homepage. We hope fruitful collaborations among members through such activities.
