[ update: 14. June.2010 ]
   Kyushu Chapter

The Kyushu branch consists of approximately 50 members in Kyushu and Okinawa area. Anniversary autumn symposium of The Spectroscopical Society of Japan was held three times in Kyushu University.
As a sustainable branch activity, summer seminar for spectroscopy has been held in Kujyu area of Oita prefecture for approximately 20 years. We have invited outstanding researchers to give lectures to spectroscopy and its related-fields. Research presentation by graduate students have been actively performed in the seminar.
In addition, seminars for spectroscopy have been held in the universities of Kyushu branch. Seven seminars by domestic and foreign researchers were held in the Year 2008-2009.
The activity policy of Kyushu branch is decided and planed by the manager meeting at the end of fiscal year. We would like to implement out activity more fruitful and more fascinating.

The chief of Kyushu branch
Prof. Tatsuo Okada (Kyushu University)
